The distortion is coming from the guitar with the distortion FX. It's very noticeable at the intro and outro because there's nothing accompanying it. It might not sound right without the distortion.

I've probably embraced the fact that many of my music can be in a game.

Thanks! This song was just a bunch of riffs compiled together with no regard for tempo, i guess the tempo changes added a nice effect to the song.

I have time to do that. I can do it very quickly (ex. the melodies for this were recreated in about half an hour or so, and tweaked as I went along). I have never ever used midis, and I never ever will. It's just how I roll. This isn't supposed to be a perfect recreation. The point of this was to challenge the abilities to recreate by ear. I know the synth at 0:31 is dry, didn't have time to fix it. Thanks for the feedback.

this needs a shit ton of improvements
the intro is good but when the arp hits, shits happened, the arp is weird
also, the track is overall lack of compression thus made it sounds unordinary loud
