this is good for first time making music, keep it up, you have potential

Well wouldn't you know... Almost 4 years after starting I have achieved so much! Thank you so much for encouraging me on my journey, you are responsible for well over 500 subs and 50000 views! Please send me a dm so we can communicate further haha
what can I say is that this is overall
lazy
the melodic riddim is where you can play around with notes, in this case, it sounds kinda bland as it goes in one note straight, but one positive point for the variation of the bass
second drop can sound better with arps
I actually wanted to make the first drop more melodic, but when I tried the serum channels started to bug and fucked a little the track
repetitive, better use various sound designs than just one screechy boi
Minatory by itself is repetitive, dirty, it is not a genre where you have to take great care in terms of sounds. It is something simple to do, besides, it was only something experimental, nothing serious.
Something better is coming.
shit dude ur underrated
thank you! i love making music and am always glad to hear people like it ^^
the problem with the additional 30 seconds at the outro is mostly because of the use of too many OTTs
you should cut it and update the track
other than that, can't argue that this is your best work
Yeah, I'm gonna update the track later tonight - I just had to upload it before I forgot, so I could enter it in the NGUAC which closes its submission time tomorrow night. Thank you!
Edit: Silence is gone
first of all, no it's not techno
it's quite unique to hear a cowbell used as the main sound, but i suggest layering it with either synths or whatever you like
the hi-hats sound a bit loud, the beats are not bad tho
the track is overall lack effects (for the transition)
I don’t know what type of genre it falls under, when I listen to music I don’t really dive into the genre of it so that’s kind of hard for me to pinpoint.
I’ll definitely take into account with the sound, I’ve been trying to work on that more often, same with the effects.
Thanks for the criticism man it really helps me out in the long run :)
interesting melodies, keep that up
for the rest, the intro synths are clicky (need some attacks), the mid part is messy, the outro is odd cuz it doesn't fit the track
thx man, ill note that for future proyects!
very chill, calm atmosphere, the melodies are lively and relaxing as the volume goes up and down, unlike going straightly like a matching ;)
one thing to remember is to have some fades, at the start of the audio, I hear clicks, which means it had no fade in. Also, I hear clicks from the melody as well, maybe it was a lack of attacks.
when you have the instruments play, you should reduce the volume of the background, else it'd crash to each other
oh wow. this is all so useful to hear!
I tried the concept of "humanizing" a track, as in adding imperfections in timing and volume to make it seem more organic. I'm glad you liked it :D
I see what you mean about the clicks though. I did set up some volume automation and check the attack at the start, but I'll pay closer attention to it next time. (there's also that the preset on GB has some clicky noise added to the synth I did my best to tone down... some of it probably got left in.)
I'll also keep in mind to be more careful about noise volume vs. music volume.
thank you so much!
